The Integrated Care Board (ICB), in collaboration with Local Authorities and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), is working to better support businesses and residents in navigating the challenges of *long-term sickness and employment.

We know that long-term health conditions can significantly impact both individuals and businesses. Many employers face challenges in retaining valuable staff and supporting employees to return to work after extended absences due to ill health. Together, we aim to understand these challenges and develop solutions that benefit our local workforce and economy.

We want to hear from you:

  • What difficulties do you encounter when supporting staff with long-term health issues?
  • What resources, tools, or support do you currently use to manage these situations?
  • How do these challenges affect your operations, your team, and your ability to grow?
  • What additional support would help you assist employees in returning to work?

Your input is critical in shaping our approach to health and employment support. By completing this short survey, you’ll help us identify gaps and tailor existing resources to meet the needs of local businesses and residents more effectively.

The survey takes only 10 minutes, and your responses can remain anonymous. If you’d like, we can also provide information on the support currently available to help you and your workforce.

Together, we can improve the health and well-being of our communities, support local businesses, and strengthen the local economy.

Thank you for sharing your insights!

*Clarification for long term sickness: Employees who are off work sick for four weeks or more are considered long-term sick.

Anonymity
Your responses will be used by MSE ICS for the purposes of analysis and reporting on an anonymous basis. Any data shared with us, will NOT contain any information that could identify you. The report will be available to the public and anonymous quotes may be included.
