In 2022 I moved from Basildon to Benfleet which resulted in my sons discharge from care within Basildon. He was never transferred which resulted in my battle for help. After 2 years I am still no further forward in regards to finding my son help with ARFID- avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) which as you can imagine is now taking a huge toll on my mental health. We had been referred to a London hospital who have refused on the basis we try local care, which doesn't exsist.
I am on a mission to raise awareness about the eating disorder in the hopes the NHS will action and change what is needed for our children. I have been on ITV, local papers, radio and will not stop! I am making a stand for our children who shouldn't be left with no support or treatment.
The duty of care is non existent and unacceptable. Every child deserves a future and the NHS are starving him of one.
