Health and care research - do you get involved?
What do you know about health and care research, have you ever taken part?
Health and care research focuses on exploring and enhancing different aspects of health and care including patients care, disease prevention and overall health. This aims to improve healthcare outcomes, patients wellbeing and influence health and care policies.
We are undertaking a project to encourage more people to sign up to health and care research. But health and care research should include all areas of Mid and South Essex and include all protected characteristics; for example ethnic minorities, people who identify as LBGTQ+ or groups who do not access health care like the rest of the population. (Health inequalities).
Key groups that we are looking to reach out to are
- Age extremes – under 25’s or over 65
- Women of childbearing age
- Ethnically diverse groups including, faith groups, Gypsy, Roma travellers
- LGBTQ+
- Groups of people who suffer from health inequalities including, those with learning disabilities or a serious mental illness.
- Those people who are Neuro divergent
We want to know why you don't get involved, what are the barriers so we can look at the solutions to solve this problem.
It is also important for us to know the reasons why you do get involved too.
